Whether you're downsizing, moving, or just need some extra space, we're here to guide you through the self-storage process.

DECLUTTER BEFORE STORING

Before you start packing your items for storage, it's a good idea to sort through them and get rid of anything you no longer need. This will save you money on storage fees and make your storage space more organized. You can donate, sell, or discard items that you no longer need or use. This will also make it easier for you to find what you need in your storage unit later.

CHOOSE THE CORRECT UNIT SIZE

Choosing the right unit size is important to make sure your items fit comfortably without being too cramped or taking up too much space. Measure your items and take into account additional space needed for walkways. A good storage facility will have a variety of unit sizes to choose from to help you find the best fit for your needs.

PACK AND LABEL BOXES CAREFULLY

Use sturdy boxes and packing materials to protect your items from damage while in storage. Use bubble wrap, packing paper, or other cushioning materials to protect fragile items. Label your boxes clearly with a description of the contents and the room they came from to make it easier to find what you need later. This will also make it easier to unpack when you retrieve your items.

OPTIMIZE STORAGE SPACE

To make the most of your storage space, consider using shelves, racks, and other storage solutions. Stack boxes and furniture strategically to maximize vertical space. Place frequently used items near the front of your unit for easy access. Use furniture with built-in storage to make the most of your space. And consider using clear plastic bins instead of boxes so you can easily see the contents without having to open them.
